First things first, let me introduce you to Dukes Group.
Dukes Group is a forum that was started by Amy of Amy's Petz Place. The focus of the forum is refocusing from loads of breeding and trading petz, to more 'old fashioned' game play. By letting your Petz grow up on the games original timescale, and not rushing though things.
After Joining Discord so that I could hang out on Petzcord... I ended up drifting over to Duke's Group Discord. I kept seeing the others in there discuss the "Winter Olympics" for the first couple of weeks of January, after some encouragement from other member's I decided to dive in and try it.
Winter Olympics was hosted this year by Bunni of Funfetti and Rho of Rho Petz
The point of Duke's Group Winter Olympics, as I understand it, is to slow down and get to know your petz that you adopted in December, since so many folks end up with a lot of new petz
I used December cut back on my adopting, and concentrate on getting my Breeding projects started. So I ended up with a small 'team' of 3 petz to complete the 20 activities that were released 5 at a time over 4 weeks.
Having a smaller team enabled me to do most of the activities with all three of my chosen petz. If I get to participate again, I will probably keep my team small next time.

The tasks were well designed where if you had time it would only take a couple of hours to get them all done, or if you wanted to split them up over a few days, that was easy too. I did a combination of things.
An unexpected bonus was that there were loads of stamps to collect from both Team Frost, and Team Evergreen.
Insomnia enabled me to finish the events on time, and Rho surprised us with completion stamps.
It was a lot of fun, and I ended up discovering that I enjoy teaching my petz tricks a whole lot more than I enjoy trying to pose them. :)
I hope that I get to participate again next year.
